APA|DC Presents: How I Shot This with Nader Khouri

APA | SF commercial photographer Nader Khouri reveals how he creates light that looks like 5:00 p.m. sunlight with his beverage photography.

About Nader Khouri:

He is a recognized food & lifestyle photographer & director who will breathe a sigh of relief into your brand. His past life as a photojournalist taught him to approach his work with a sense of authenticity and he comes to every project with a great attitude and 110%. He works and lives on Yelamu Ohlone land (San Francisco) and works from his studio or on location.

Driven to inspire himself and others to eat and drink healthy, Nader’s passion for good food and living is apparent in his work for Whole30, Whole Foods, Fiji Water, Peet's Coffee, Fairmont Hotels, OpenTable and countless restaurants and wineries. He’s been recognized by Communication Arts and American Photographic Artists. He is a member of APA's Diversity Committee and recently served for 5 years on the APA SF board.

Nader was first inspired to be in the food world after witnessing the olive harvest under occupation in his family's ancestral land of Palestine in the 2000's. That along with his mother's healthy living philosophy are at the root of his outlook on wellness. If you’re lucky, he’ll share his campfire Shakshuka recipe with you and talk about why he loves the gluten-free and paleo diets.
