APA|DC Welcomes Two New Board Members
JULY 2025
Matt Dandy and George Civita have been elected to the APA|DC board!
Matthew Dandy is an architecture and interior design photographer and a Northern Virginia native. A graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Matthew has previously worked as a photo assistant, digitech, retoucher, and drone operator during his wide ranging freelance career. Matthew’s work has been published in The Washington Post, Home & Design Magazine, and more. Matthew lives in Alexandria with his wife, Victoria and their dog, Poe.
George Civita has collaborated with a wide range of photographers in various roles over the years. He likes to think he’s seen it all—whether it’s documenting the world’s largest Hot Wheels collection, flinging chocolate through the air for cereal box ads, or hunting for fossilized shark teeth as big as your fist along the Chesapeake Bay at sunrise. Still, every shoot brings a new surprise, and George is always up for the challenge. When he’s not on set working alongside other photographers, you’ll find him focused on his own infrared and automotive photography. Based just outside Annapolis, George can also be spotted out on the bay, spending time with friends, or wandering around town in search of cool old houses to photograph.
