Join APA | DC on Saturday, April 20th for our annual Photo Assistant Workshop 9:30am - 3:00pm at Yolk Studios. We will walk you through everything you need to know as a photographer's assistant, from grip and lighting, to set safety, to being a digital tech, and everything in between!

Recommended for anyone who is curious to see what is used on commercial sets, anyone looking to start assisting, or anyone looking to brush up on their skills.

This event has a limited capacity of 30. Registration is required and this workshop is expected to sell out.

Pricing

$25 for APA members - Registration begins Monday, April 8th.

$75 for non members - Registration begins Wednesday, April 10th.

Timeline:

• 9:30am - Arrival for participants (Coffee provided)

• 10am - 12pm - Hands-on training on how to use grip and lighting equipment. 20 min intro, 40 minutes going over grip (Stands, Rigging, Different pieces of equipment), 1 hour going over lighting (Stobes, Packs, Modifiers, etc).

• 12pm -1:00pm - Lunch (provided by APA)

• 1:00pm - 3:00pm - Breakout groups (assisting, digital tech, big set photography, run-and-gun small sets)

• 3:00pm - 3:30pm - Q&A session

• 3:30pm WRAP
